Terms of Service
These terms cover the Silkweave website and any hosted service you sign in to. They are not meant to be a wall of fine print, but they do form a binding agreement, so please read them. If you do not agree with them, that is fine, but you should not use the hosted Service.

1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and
Atomic BI Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore ("Atomic", "Silkweave",
"we", "us"). By signing in to or using the Silkweave website at silkweave.dev and any
hosted accounts or services linked to it (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you are using
the Service for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. The open-source packages are separate
Silkweave is, first and foremost, an open-source toolkit. The Silkweave packages published on npm and GitHub are licensed under the MIT License, and your rights to use that code come from that license, not from these Terms. These Terms govern the hosted website and sign-in only. If anything here ever appears to conflict with the MIT License as it applies to the code, the MIT License wins for the code.
Short version: install and self-host the libraries however you like under MIT. These Terms only kick in when you use our hosted website and sign-in.
3. Accounts and sign-in
To use parts of the Service you sign in with a third-party identity provider such as Google or GitHub. You are responsible for the account you sign in with and for keeping access to it secure. You must be at least 16 years old, and you must give accurate information and keep it current. How we handle the data we receive at sign-in is set out in our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
When you use the Service, you agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone else's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- probe, scan, overload, or disrupt the Service, or get around its limits and security;
- reverse engineer or misuse the hosted Service (this is separate from your MIT rights to the open-source code);
- use the Service to build or train a competing product by scraping or bulk-extracting it; or
- upload anything malicious or unlawful.
5. Intellectual property and brand
The source code is yours to use under MIT. The Silkweave name, logo, and the look and content of the website are ours (or our licensors'), and nothing here gives you the right to use the Silkweave name or logo to imply endorsement or affiliation without our permission. You keep ownership of any content you submit, and you grant us the limited permission we need to host and operate the Service for you.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Google and GitHub for sign-in and various infrastructure providers for hosting. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for them. If a third-party provider changes or removes something we depend on, parts of the Service may change too.
7. Changes and availability
Silkweave is a small, independent project, and we offer the hosted Service on a best-effort basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or stop the hosted Service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of major changes where we can, but we are not obliged to keep any particular feature running.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use it at your own risk, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Atomic and its directors and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you paid us nothing (as is the case for the free Service), to SGD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Atomic harmless from any claims, losses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. When access ends, the sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will continue to apply.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
